The New Season has finally started, and during the next few months a long list of my artists will have their debut in various new and exciting roles, within Denmark and abroad.
Elsebeth Dreisig sings the demanding part of Chio- Chio San/ Butterfly at Opera Hedeland. Jens Søndergaard has his debut as Wotan/ Saga of the Ring, which is staged in Christianskirken. Teresia Bokor has her first appearance at Folkoperaen in Stockholm in the part of the Queen of the Night/ The Magic Flute, and Anette Bod has her debut as well in a very challenging part: Kabanicha/ Katja Kabanova on Jyske Opera.
Anna Danik makes her debut as Donna Elvira/ Don Giovanni in Helsinki. Henriikka Grøndahl and Hanna Wåhlin alternates as Jorun for the Vadstena Summeropera. Gert Henning-Jensen has his debut in the party of Jan Janicki/ Der Bettelstudent at Mörbisch See Fest Spiele, and Kari Postma makes her first appearance as Rosalinde/ Die Fledermaus at Opera Nordfjord. And finally Kristina Wahlin makes her debut in the role of Rosette/ Manon Lescaut at Malmø Opera.
Maija Skille makes her first appearance in the very interesting piece by Leonard Berstein – A Quiet Place, which will be performed in Konserthaus Berlin and conducted by Mo. Ken Nagano. Lastly but not least Ditte Højgaard Andersen and DR Symfoniorkestret can be experienced in a Verdi-Gala being conducted by Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos.
